Use the information from the dialogue to explain your answers clearly. After school, two friends, Maya and Ardi, are sitting in the library. Maya: Hi, Ardi. You look a little tired today. Did something happen? Ardi: Yeah, I didn't sleep well last night. I had to help my cousin with his homework. Maya: Oh, no wonder. I thought you were studying for the science quiz. Knowledge Corner — Why & Because

The word "Why" is used to ask for reasons or explanations. When we want to know why something happens, we ask, "Why?" The word "Because" is used to give a reason or explain why something happens. It answers the "why" question. When we ask a question with "Why", we need to answer with "Because". The sentence structure is simple: Why + subject + verb? Answer: subject + verb + because + reason.

Think about your daily activities, such as studying, eating, playing, or helping at home. Write four questions using why about your daily life, and then answer them using because.
