Coco loves running in the garden. ______ puppy is named Coco. Coco loves ______ toy bone. Santi plays with ______ brother every afternoon. Dito and Riko are twins. Mr. Dani has a cat. ______ name is Kiko. Kiko likes ______ new food. We always laugh when we see ______ cat on the desk.
The possessive form 's shows that something belongs to someone or something. We add 's to a noun to show possession. Example: John's pencil. (The pencil belongs to John.) If the noun is already plural (ending in s), just add an apostrophe ('), not the s. Example: The teachers' books. (The books belong to the teachers.) Possessive adjectives are words like my, your, his, her, its, our, and their. These words come before a noun to show who owns it or whose thing it is. Subject → Possessive adjective → Example: I → My → This is my notebook. You → Your → That is your pencil. He → His → This is his phone. She → Her → I like her dress. It → Its → The cat eats its food. We → Our → Welcome to our house. They → Their → That is their car.
Mission 3. What's Wrong?

Mission 6. Possessive's in Real Life
Work in pair! Then follow instructions below to complete the mission! 1. Find a News Article or Online Post: Choose a short news article, blog post, or social media post (about 2–3 paragraphs). You can use a printed article or find one online. Pick a topic that interests you, like sports, entertainment, or technology. 2. Underline Possessive's: As you read, underline all the examples of possessive's (e.g., "John's", "the teacher's", "Sarah's"). Look carefully for sentences where possession is shown with 's. 3. After identifying the possessive's, write down 5 sentences from the article where possessive's are used. These sentences should show ownership or possession. Example: In today's world, searching for health information on the web has become an integral part of daily life. Many individuals turn to the internet for healthcare information and self-assessment. A pilot study conducted by Shanu Sushmita and Si-Chi Chin investigates users' preferences for the type of search results (such as images, news, videos) and examines users' ability to accurately interpret online health information for self-diagnosis. Preliminary results reveal that blog and news articles are the most sought-after sources when searching for online health information. However, challenges exist in using online health information for self-diagnosis. Example sentences analysis: 1) "The study's findings indicate that individuals prefer blog and news articles when searching for health information online." Analysis: "study's" shows that the findings belong to the study. 2) "Users' preferences for search result types vary, with some favoring images over videos." Analysis: "Users'" indicates that the preferences belong to the users. 3) "The researchers' investigation focused on how individuals interpret online health information."
